I met a woman preparing for new open for Kuhuku Grill in Foodland while
she was holding a little baby. I politely asked her to let me inside
because I liked the interior, so I told her that I just wanted to take a
look at. She was willing to let me inside and allow me to take a lot of
pictures. After a while, her husband and their investor came back and
started to talk about business while the baby sleeping on the floor. It
reminds me of a lot of mothers in Hawaii work so hard until late, and it
is not rare to see a mother has two jobs even thought their kids are
still young. I think this represents one of the strong characteristic of
mother in Hawaii. Cost of living is high in Hawaii, so a lot of mothers
has to work hard.
