Assignment 2 - Idea and Image | Seeing the Qualities of Light (Kahuku Grill)

I met a woman preparing for new open for Kuhuku Grill in Foodland while she was holding a little baby. I politely asked her to let me inside because I liked the interior, so I told her that I just wanted to take a look at. She was willing to let me inside and allow me to take a lot of pictures. After a while, her husband and their investor came back and started to talk about business while the baby sleeping on the floor. It reminds me of a lot of mothers in Hawaii work so hard until late, and it is not rare to see a mother has two jobs even thought their kids are still young. I think this represents one of the strong characteristic of mother in Hawaii. Cost of living is high in Hawaii, so a lot of mothers has to work hard.

Assignment 1 - Subject Exploration Critique

I took these picture for my assignment.  It was first time for me to take picture by manual mode, and I love it.  I realized that I do love take picture.  I just feel so happy and my heart fulfill with joy by taking picture.  As I took pictures, I found that a lot of beauty in nature such as color, texture, and pattern.  I realized this because you really pay attention to what you see to get a beautiful picture.  When I did not have a camera, I had never felt like this feeling....like appreciation to my life surrounded by nature and all the creation of God.  My life is more freaking wonderful if I never forget to be with camera.
